The spin on oil filter does not require an adapter. It's faster and easier to change the filter with less mess, too. The chrome filter cover protects the filter shell from rock impacts. Remove the bolt out of the new spin on filter and thread the bolt as far as the thread will go on to the place where the original housing, filter and filter bolt assembly went. Screw the remaining filter in place. Instructions are included.
